AR-025 Smoke detector

AR-025 Smoke detector for zone 2The explosion-safe ArtidorAR-025 optical smoke detector reacts to visible smoke particles.Inside the smoke detector's measuring chamber, a builtin infraredlight source emits a light pulse every 8 seconds. The amount oflight detected by the photodiode changes due to the smoke particlesentering the measuring chamber during a fire. The built-in relay isenergized and the potential-free output is switched. The AR-025smoke detector can be connected to virtually any professional alarmsystem.

The smoke detector is preferably mounted against the ceiling inthe center of the room. Prevent obstacles from disrupting theairflow to the smoke detector, which could result in smokedevelopment being detected too late. It is recommended to install asmoke detector on every floor, in the stairwell, and in all livingand sleeping

The smoke detector can be supplied with a normally open (NO) ornormally closed (NC) output. This ensures that a suitable versionis always available for your alarm system. Consult your alarmsystem documentation to ensure you order the correct version; theoutput type cannot be changed afterwards. The AR-025 smoke detectorcan, of course, also be connected directly to a PLC, signal lightor buzzer.

The AR-025 smoke detector is mounted on a coated aluminumhousing. Gas explosion safety is ensured by applying the ignitionprotection methods “Increased safety” and “Molding”. Dust explosionsafety is achieved by applying the ignition protection methods“Molding” and “Protection by enclosure”.

The explosion-proof AR-025 smoke detector is certified inaccordance with European Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX 114), Europeanstandard EN 54-7 “Fire detection and alarm systems – Part 7: smokedetectors” and is CE marked.
