Oxidation Resistant BNi?2 Powderfor High Temp Joints

High joint strength at room and elevated temperature
Industry standard for a reason — it covers 80% of high-temp brazingneeds
Best for:? Stainless steel assemblies, heat exchangers, turbinecomponents, diamond/CBN tool brazing, chemical e, generalindustrial brazing
Watch out:? Chromium forms stable oxides → requires good vacuum ordry protective atmosphere; not for nuclear core applications
Boron and silicon can form hard borides/silicides in the joint.
Avoid excessive soak time
For critical parts, add a diffusion heat treatment
This improves ductility and high-temperature service life
7. Material compatibility
BNi-2 is excellent for:
Stainless steel 304 / 316 / 321 / 410
Inconel, Hastelloy, other Ni-base alloys
Cobalt alloys, cemented carbide, diamond toolsRite Material
BNi-2 Nickel-Based Brazing Filler Metal (Full English Version)
BNi-2 is a widely used nickel-base brazing alloy conforming to AWSA5.8 and AMS 4777 specifications, ailable in powder, amorphous foiland paste forms. Its nominal chemical composition (wt%) isNi-7Cr-4.5Si-3Fe-3B. The solidus temperature is 970°C and li°C; the recommended brazing temperature is 1050°C or higher, typically applied under vacuum or inert protective atmosphere suchas argon and hydrogen.
Industrial e:? chemical-processing hardware, food-handlinge, valves, honeycomb panels
6. Process Notes
Best brazed in vacuum, pure argon, or very dry hydrogen?
Fast heating helps oid liquation
A diffusion hold improves ductility and raises servicetemperature
Not recommended for nuclear core? applications because of boroncontent
Thin sections and less-ductile base metals require smallclearances, minimal filler, and controlled cycles
