Rite Material BNi?2 PowderProfessional Brazing Solution

Watch out:? Higher brazing temperature than BNi-2; no chromium →limited oxidation resistance at elevated service temperatures
How to Decide — Quick Decision Tree
Step 1:? Does the part need oxidation/corrosion resistance at hightemperature?
Yes → BNi-2
No → Go to Step 2
Step 2:? Is the joint clearance very tight (≤0.05 mm) or theoverlap very long?
Yes → BNi-3
No → Go to Step 3
Step 3:? Do you need more ductility or he wider gaps (0.05–0.15mm)?
Yes → BNi-4
Still unsure → BNi-2? (it covers most cases)
One-Line Summary
Ideal for precision, thin-wall, or complex-geometry assemblies
Best for:? Honeycomb seals, nickel superalloy precision parts,long-overlap joints, thin-wall structures, situations where furnacevacuum/atmosphere is not perfect
Watch out:? No Cr means poorer high-temperature oxidationresistance; joints contain more brittle intermetallic phases (Ni?B,Ni-Si-B eutectic) if not followed by a diffusion heat treatment
BNi-4 — The Ductility & Wide-Gap Option
Composition:? Ni-Si-B (Cr 0%, Si 3–4%, B 1.5–2.2%, Fe ≤1.5%)
Melting & Brazing
Solidus 982 °C → Liquidus 1066 °C (wider ~84 °C range)
Typical brazing: 1065–1175 °CRite Material
BNi-2 Nickel-Based Brazing Filler Metal (Full English Version)
BNi-2 is a widely used nickel-base brazing alloy conforming to AWSA5.8 and AMS 4777 specifications, ailable in powder, amorphous foiland paste forms. Its nominal chemical composition (wt%) isNi-7Cr-4.5Si-3Fe-3B. The solidus temperature is 970°C and li°C; the recommended brazing temperature is 1050°C or higher, typically applied under vacuum or inert protective atmosphere suchas argon and hydrogen.
