Previously, suchgloves wod have been tested only in the new state, but under PPEres, the protection level has to be maintained throughout its useflife. This means that if the glove is washable, then thenumber of washes it can withstand has to be known and stated in theliterature accompanying the product. This adds a responsibility tothe manufacturer to be able to demonstrate that after a specifiednumber of washes, all properties including the Contact Heatre are maintained.
